Touring
The PRISM Quartet offers a stunning range of touring programs. PRISM's Hit Parade program covers everything from beloved masterworks from the Western canon specially adapted for PRISM to electrifying commissions. Several of the world's leading jazz saxophonists join PRISM in Heritage/Evolution, an ongoing project that charts fresh musical territory by drawing on the instrument’s history to blend jazz with everything from Western and South Indian classical music to Romani and Latin American folkloric music. Mending Wall is a fully staged concert exploring the meaning of walls in our world by giving musical form to questions about identity, community, division, and freedom. Featuring soprano Tony Arnold and pianist Arturo O’Farrill with stage direction by Jorinde Keesmaat and lighting design by Aaron Copp. Breath Beneath explores the intersection of music, interactive technology, and experimental film. In COLOR THEORY, PRISM is joined by So Percussion to pioneer new possibilities of orchestration. PRISM’s cross-cultural programs include Antiphony, a unique partnership with the ensemble Music From China examining the dynamic relationship between Eastern and Western, contemporary and ancient cultures. PRISM is also available for intriguing collaborations with choral groups, as well as orchestra engagements featuring concerti by Steven Mackey, William Bolcom, and Philip Glass.
