PRISM Quartet

Residency at Temple University: Masterclasses, Seminars, Composer Reading, Open Rehearsals

Temple Univ

The PRISM Quartet is thrilled to be in residence at Temple University in 2018-19, where ensemble member Matthew Levy teaches saxophone and chamber music. The residency includes masterclasses, chamber music coaching, a “Technology and Recording” seminar, an entrepreneurship workshop on “Starting Your Own Record Label,” and several open rehearsals. The residency culminates in a PRISM chamber music recital on April 25, and an April 26 concerto performance with the Temple Wind Symphony under Dr. Patricia Cornett of William Bolcom’s Concerto Grosso for Saxophone Quartet, commissioned by PRISM in 2000. All performances are free and open to the public. Saxophonists from throughout the region are invited to observe masterclasses, workshops, seminars, and open rehearsals.
