Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 | 7 p.m. | Goodhart Music Room

No reservations or tickets required. Festive winter treats will be served.

The PRISM Quartet will present a cross-section of music that demonstrates the saxophone’s remarkable range of expression in the classical mode. Praised by The Philadelphia Inquirer for its ability to “move effortlessly between styles,” the program will include A Schumann Bouquet—an adaption from Robert Schumann’s Album for the Young—arranged for the PRISM Quartet by the Pulitzer Prize-winning composer William Bolcom. The program also includes music by  French composer Pierre Max Dubois, folk songs from Latin America, and more recent works by Roshanne Etezady, Michael Daugherty, and Matthew Levy.

In the salon tradition, the musicians will discuss the program with audience members, answering questions before and after the performance.

This event is free and open to the public.
